| I used to try and move them while they were still in the cave. I had a large fry saver that was big enough for the cave to go into and would move the whole thing across including dad. Then wait til all the fry are out of the cave and in the saver then move dad and cave back to the breeding tank and let the fry go into the grow out tank. very little stress this way. If you do leave them in the breeding tank, you need to give them a bit of time. the stress of being caught and then moved can be enough to kill them. even just being out of the water and the changes in weight can be enough to send them over the edge | |

| Arghkay thanks Im just worried that they might get killed from my other alpha male if they venture onto his side of the tank, hes been very territorial lately n killed two of my 2cm longfin albinos... How long til i can move them though? Maybe when theyre 1.5cm long of something? | |
