| OK just a few days ago my bristlenose spawned! i saw about 10 eggs before no i see a whole lot more! just today i found 2 eggs knocked out so i put it in a fry saver with and airpump i could even see the embryo developing! is funny because the day before my blue rams spawned in the other tank!! i cant wait till the bubz hatch!! after some consideration i plan to leave the bubz in the tank because there is alot of java moss and the only other tank members are 7 bronze corys and their bubz from lasy month and 4 juvenile bristlenose 1 male (the father and 3 females!! ( i have a feeling 2 of them both got busy) so the tank will be heavily stocked the tank is 217 litres 91cmx46x52 i have already covered up the intake of the filters with wool but the cover/wool is already getting a bit dirty!! filters are rena 30 hlbt hailea 400 and a hand made filter from a pipe wool and a power head im workign at my local LFS tomorrow as a part time job so i plan to use the 6hrs worth of money (10 dollars an hr) on another filter hopefully i can get some mesh too for the cover up instead of the wool i would buy a small tank but my parents will kill me because i already have 4 tanks after 2 years of fish keeping | |

| Four tanks after 2 years! At least you're taking things slow. I had 5 tanks in the first year. | |

| Nice work DJ-Don, your list off tank mates sounds fine for the babies to go straight in to their original tank ( I've never had issues with adult B/N taking out babies) , as for your filter issue - an old worn ( but very clean ) sport sock over the filter cartridges worked fine for me, but then found it easier to just pay attention when cleaning the cartridge in your bucket of tank water, if you noticed any babies fall out of the filter - just pick em out and chuck em back. | If you can I find using a sponge filter as a pre filter on the inlet works a treat, not only does it work as another filter but also stops fry getting sucked up | |

| hey guys something funny is happening with my computer with this site so updates semm impossible!! my bns are now on their 3rd spawn!! i decided that nothing can predate the babies in the tank so i decided to cover the intakes of the filter with mesh and it works like a charm! but i also decided to catch about 20 or so and put them in my 4L fry saver that i made so far i counted about 20 fry in the fry saver and about 30 outside i actually want them to stop right now!!! | |
