how nany pounds worth of bristlenose do you reckon you have ???? FORTUNE ?????

i just wondered everyone how many bristlenose you got and which ones . and if you were to sell the lot how much are they all worth ..... could you be sitting on a fortune .

i think bristlenose have alot of money in them , i mean have you seen the ebay auctions somtimes .

i think if you had the time, tank space and patience to grow your fry out to a sexable size the 3 inch mark and you have 2 different breeding pairs in seperate tanks so that you can simply pick 1 male from 1 breeding group and select 1 female from another breeding group and then put them together as a pair on ebay you will easily and i mean easily get £30 for the pair or even £40 per trio.....

Now lets say you have two breeding trio's that could give you between 150 to 250 fry every 3-4 weeks...!!

You would need 2 breeding tanks and then a further 2 large grow out tanks....

you grow your fry out to 3 inch, wouldnt cost that much to feed as veggie's can be pretty cheap so its just electric....

Now do the maths on how much money you could get back just by selling pairs at £30 a go....

hhmmmm thats call it 30 X 250 = £7500...

The only BIG draw back is the grow out stage your looking at a good 6 months to a year to sex BN's....
plus it means keeping over 200 BN's in grow out tanks.....

Id say the way the spawn and how fast then i would say yes your sat on quite a nice little investment if done correctly...

I have about 150 growing out at the moment another 3 months and cha ching.....

or you could just sell fry at say 6 commons for a tenner....easy money....

that is very interesting , even more money could be made on the rare type as well .
