| Nice Mooo!!
Do you use any aquarium ferts for your plants or do you just let the fishes make a contribution?

| I use a fabulous Australian product called, Aquagreen's Dino Pee(natural plant food) n Spit (Co2 liquid) .. I use the Dino range in all my tanks, as the commercial products killed of my shrimp, too much copper. I don't know if he ships overseas..but its worth asking. http://www.aquagreen.com.au/

| Yes I have, You have to use the entire range & it can get exxy, You might get away with just the Excel & Flourish..I found the Dino range much more economical, Only a few drops per tank...It doesn't even need to be daily...Brilliant stuff. Have a look at this..its is the suggested regime for fertilizing your plants,(too much mucking around for me) http://www.seachem.com/support/PlantDoseChart.pdf

| In your opinion do you think it would be economically viable for me to order some and give it a try or should I get a small amount of Seachem Flourish to see what happens...then order some DinoPee( I love the name and logo)? | |

| If you can get Dino pee n Spit, Yeah I would recommend it, But First! I strongly suggest you email Dave Wilson at Aquagreen.com.au & ask if he ships international. Can't hurt to ask...I can't find out till tomorrow...You'll all be snoozin then... Other wise yes, Get some Seachem Flourish & Excel(Do not squirt Excel on plants directly, it melts them), It will feed your plants with the basic nutrients needed.

| Thank you very much!!!! Also do you think I should get rid of my airstone? Or does it really matter? My plants are doing fine now and I've had it in there for about a month or two. I use it mainly to circulate the water on the bottom. Next should I take out the carbon from my filters (hang on the back style). I really appreciate your input. The plants I have in there now are Anubias and Java Fern. I've got Java Moss and Star Moss ordered that I'm going to put in there also. Basically low-tech with no actual "planted" plants. Everything is attached to driftwood or rocks. | |

| Keep your air stone running constantly, They are most beneficial. Especially for oxygenation if it is hot..or when medicating. YES most certainly take out that carbon, Its works ok initially but once it is full of the nasties it has sucked out of your tank it will spew it all back in & cause all sorts of problems..You can buy an alternative product that does a 100% better job at removing toxins from the water column, & it can be regenerated...... Seachem Purigen.. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-32868.html There is another similar product but I can't recall it..
The plants you mentioned you have, are all low light plants & low ferts plants, so I would use half doses of whatever ferts you choose on them...

| Ok...So here is the rundown... Leave my airstone in.. Use half the recommended dosage of Seachem Flourish and Excel... Take out my carbon and replace with Seachem Purigen.. And my tank and feeshs will be alright? Lol..everything is good in there now I just wanted to keep my plants healthy and encourage a little faster growth from them ( I do know they grow slow anyway). So a big THANK YOU to Mooo | |

| Very nice!
I haven't seen my male in a couple of days so I took the flashlight and shined it up into his cave. I've got wrigglers....again. LOL! They are at it like clockwork. I've also found a LFS that will buy ALL of them from me. This is..of course..after I get 77mav his batch!
