Breeding The Bristlenose Pleco..

Question:
So i had a albino bristlnose, maybe 1.5-2 inches long about and its belly bloated up and looked similar to that of the gravid pleco in your picture. Unfortunately my pleco continued to bloat and eventually died. Is it possible for them to get egg bound? There was no male bristlnose in the tank and i don't remember the parameters of my tank at the time exactly but i remember everything was more or less normal (temp somewhere between 70-75, low nitrate/nitrite, hard water and normal ph).
