| he didn't eat them as in he was hungry.....he ate them as in they'd gone mouldy so he sifted through them and got rid of the bad one, He has 1 wriggler and i had 57 off him last time so i think that'll do for now I'm sure they'll spawn again soon enough. Good luck with yours. | |

| Just an update... All the fry have been out and free swimming for a few days now... Dad is back in the main tank with his cave eating like there is no tomorrow Very difficult to count as lots of hiding places in there for them but manged to count 27 last night just on the cucumber, lettice and on the glass... Could be more as I have seen quite a few in the leaves of the plants... Just hope they survive now Am doing everything I can think of Would like to say thanks to everyone especially TJ who have had the patience to listen to my constant babble Hopefully, if/when it happens again, I will have a bit more idea of what im doing Thanks again guys xxx | |

| Hey! Thanks Orange! Mine love cucumber more than anything else!... Next best is carrot and lettice! Never tried tomatoes though! Mine are in a 4 ft tank and he has his own slate cave which he loves... I didnt really do anthing to get them started... I noticed that the mum was getting a bit fatter than normal but was too scared to do a big cold water change so I only did a little one... About 10% and then panic'ed like mad afterwards lol Then I noticed the fanning and here we are! He has been back in the main tank for 5 days now and mum is already getting fat and trying to get back in his cave He isnt letting her in yet but I have noticed him doing some of his fake fanning I have a feeling im gonna end up over run lol!!! | |

Cucumber is excellent and also has the advantage of not breaking down in water as quickly as Zucchini, not as those it's ever in there long enough. I've also never tried tomato but have used carrot, sweet potato, peas and lettuce. I don't know if you've read this post HERE , lots of tips for different veggies to try. | |
